Medicare
Medicare is a federal program that provides health care coverage for:
- people who are 65 or older.
- certain people under 65 with disabilities.
- people with End-Stage-Renal Disease (ESRD). ESRD is a condition in which individuals have permanent kidney failure that requires dialysis or a transplant.
In addition to the resource below, the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) at the Area Agency on Aging provides counseling and community education on Medicare A, B, C, & D.
