Program: SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED

Agency: BLINDED VETERANS ASSOCIATION (BVA)

Descriptions

Provides information and support and encourages rehabilitation for blinded veterans. Offers information about available benefits and policies related to veterans. Also offers information about nonservice connected disability pension claims. Processes and submits disability compensation claims. Develops independent living skills, including orientation and mobility skills, visual skills, and computer skills for adapted computer programs.

Eligibility

Adults (18 years of age)

-Must be legally blind veteran.

-Must have honorable discharge and at least 180 days of active service.
