Descriptions
Provides hotline to report suspected child abuse and responds to reports of suspected child abuse. Provides safety and protection for children who are at risk of, or are being abused, neglected or exploited.
Child abuse is defined by California law as:
- Non-accidental physical injury of a child
- Sexual abuse or exploitation of a child
- Willful cruelty or unjustifiable punishment of a child
- Neglect of a child, including failure to provide adequate food, clothing, shelter, medical care or supervision.
Eligibility
Report must be related to suspected abuse, neglect, or exploit of a child (under 18 years old)
Application Process
Call the Abuse Reporting Hotline to report suspected child abuse and/or neglect
