Descriptions

Offers zero down zero percent interest loans for home repairs. Each homeowner is eligible for up to $7,500 in repairs over the course of 3 years or a nonrepayable grant up to $10,000. After 3 years, homeowners will be eligible to apply again. Three aspects of home repair are available:

Home Preservation: Exterior work including patching, minor repair, and replacement of exterior building materials for maintaining good or sound condition.
Critical Home Repair: Extensive interior or exterior work to address safety issues or code violations. This includes accessibility needs (ADA) and installation or extension of plumbing, mechanical, or electrical systems.
Weatherization: Repairs that help manage energy efficiency including windows, doors, siding, weather stripping, and gutter repair.
ADA Repairs

Eligibility

-Must own a home in Tuolumne County that is your primary residence and have a repair need that falls within parameters and income that fits within 80% of AMI or below.
-Must be current on mortgage, property tax, utilities payments.
-Must have no more than $20,000 in liquid assets.
-Must have no present intention of moving or selling your home for 3 years.
-Must be willing and able to make payments on a 0% interest Habitat Home Repair Loan or be eligible for the nonrepayable grant.
-Property must not be an income property.

Call to apply or visit website, a home assessment is conducted to identify and confirm work that needs to be done, also requires a completed application before assessment

-Ownership documents, with no outstanding liens on property (other than mortgage).
